Blair links Boko Haram with Al Qaeda

boko+haram
Former British Prime Minister, Mr. Tony Blair has said that Boko Haram and Al Qaeda have strong terror relationships and links that coordinate their assault world peace.

Blair made this known in a live interview with US station MSNBC, programme, morning Joes show yesterday, explicitly connecting Boko Haram to the broader global threat posed by what were thought to be previously disparate terrorist groups.

He said: “It is a little like the Cold War in the sense that you have got ISIS, you have got problems in Yemen, in Libya, Boko Haram in Nigeria where they kidnapped those young girls and where they are taking over towns in the whole of Northern Nigeria.

I think we are going to have to get into a somewhat different rhythm in this…this is going to last for a significant period of time, a generation I think.

This is further evidence of the severity of the situation facing Nigeria, as daily evidence emerges to confirm links between Boko Haram, Al Qaeda and Islamic State.”

There were children locked inside the house…” those were the words of my elderly neighbour, Mrs A, returning from the scene of some ongoing tragedy. Immediately, my mother went for all our official documents she always keeps in a ready to go bag while, my father, brother and I set off in the direction of the blaze. On getting to the front of the close, T Close, we observed the residents of the first few houses on the left hastily withdrawing their belongings from their homes; stuffing generators, plasma TVs, gas cylinders and the works into the back seat of their cars.
