Ariana Grande has responded to Bette Midler’s criticism that she doesn’t need to make a “whore” out of herself to succeed in the music business. As Gossip Cop reported, Midler went after Grande and other young singers in a recent interview, questioning their adherence to a “sex sells” marketing model.

Midler was quoted as saying, “It’s terrible! It’s always surprising to see someone like Ariana Grande with that silly high voice, a very wholesome voice, slithering around on a couch… looking so ridiculous.” The older singer added that she’d advise young stars, “Trust your talent. You don’t have to make a whore out of yourself to get ahead. You really don’t.”

On Tuesday, Grande responded on Twitter. She posted a picture of Midler (wearing a skimpy outfit) and the message, “All love here.” Grande also wrote, “Bette was always a feminist who stood for women being able to do whatever the F they wanted without judgement! Not sure where that Bette went but I want that sexy mermaid back!!! Always a fan no matter what my love.”

To show her adoration for Midler despite the war of words, Grande then tweeted, “And I will still quote First Wives Club every single day of my life lmao.”

There were children locked inside the house…” those were the words of my elderly neighbour, Mrs A, returning from the scene of some ongoing tragedy. Immediately, my mother went for all our official documents she always keeps in a ready to go bag while, my father, brother and I set off in the direction of the blaze. On getting to the front of the close, T Close, we observed the residents of the first few houses on the left hastily withdrawing their belongings from their homes; stuffing generators, plasma TVs, gas cylinders and the works into the back seat of their cars. Some had already driven their cars away! Immediately, we realised the fire was coming from the next cl
