Two of the women, who were from the same husband, were killed while working on their farm at the outskirt of Igoh village, while the other was gunned down while attempting to flee on sighting the attackers.
According to Sunday Trust, the development has forced locals to flee the community, even as another woman reportedly had her left hand cut off during the attack.
This is the second time in less than a month that the village is coming under attack.
Police public relations officer, ASP Joseph Kwaji confirmed the attack, but said only two women were killed while another woman was left with machete wounds.
Recently, Taraba State governor, Alhaji Sani Danladi, was forced to deny rumours that he instructed thugs to destroy President Goodluck Jonathan’s billboards within Jalingo metropolis.
