Osinbanjo Visits Muoka

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Vice-Presidential candidate in the 2015 elections, Professor Yemi Osinbanjo, has paid a visit to the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministry, Lagos.

The Ministry is headed by Pastor Lazarus Muoka who is seen in the photo with Professor Osinbanjo who posted the picture on his
Facebook
page.

The visit is coming days after the the presidential candidate of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and incumbent, President Goodluck Jonathan joined worshipers at the fast growing church.

Indeed, it has become the norm for political office seekers in Nigeria to visit clergy men during the electioneering period. Even though, political analysts see these visits as a strategy to get endorsed by the religious leaders.

However, it should be noted that Professor Osinbanjo is a senior pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) which Jonathan also visited a day before his trip to Lord Chosen.

Ordinarily, Osinbanjo’s visit to Pastor Muoka would have been interpreted as a clergyman visiting his fellow comrade, but the timing of the visit is indeed suspect as elections are fast approaching.
Meanwhile, the Northern State Christian Elders Forum (NOSCEF) has appealed to  Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, to name the church leaders who allegedly collected N6 billion from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in order to garner support for President Jonathan.

Amaechi who is the Director-General of the Buhari/Osinbanjo campaign organisation had made the allegation earlier against some church leaders even though he is yet to name the clergymen involved.

Meanwhile, an unverified report has revealed reasons why the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) president, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor is backing President Jonathan’s bid to return to office.

But I tell you today that my ambition is tied to my destiny. I say my destiny because I was born to be a catalyst. So in essence my decision is based on rendering service to my people and nothing more. More so, I would say I have been a beneficiary of the benevolence of the Almighty God in all spheres of my life.  And the best I can do to return gratitude to God is to continue to render services to the benefit of mankind, hence my decision to myself up for service. What is your position on the principle of rot...
