Police Repel Boko Haram Attack In Kano

Kano police on February 15 confirmed the killing of 2 suspected Boko Haram members in Kibiya LGA.

Vanguard reports with reference to the command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Magaji Majiya, that the incident occurred February 14, Saturday.

Around 5.30 p.m. some six armed men on motorcycles stormed the police station. The attack was however repelled. One gunman was said to have been killed during the exchange of fire while the other was lynched  by the community as he tried to flee.

Two suspects were arrested and taken for interrogation. They are reportedly assisting the police in the investigation.

Majiya disclosed that no policeman was killed during the operation.

Following the development, the security was beefed up in the area.
