Gunmen kill expatriate, kidnap another

Tragedy hit construction giant, Julius Berger, at the weekend, as gunmen attacked two vehicles conveying its two expatriate workers,  killing one and abducted the other.

The incident occurred in Sagamu area of Ogun State while the expatriates were going to work in Ogbere.

According to a source, the dead expatriate was  a sub-contractor with Julius Berger while the other, a German, was a staff of the construction company.

At the time of the attack, the expatriates were not with any armed security escort.

While confirming the incident yesterday evening, the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer for the state police command, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the police command was intensifying efforts to rescue the abducted expatriate
