In a bid to represent his people come 2015, veteran Nollywood actor, Kenneth Okonkwo has picked up a Peoples Democratic Party nomination form.
The actor, who has been making background preparations for the 2015 elections has stepped up his game by obtaining a PDP nomination form in order to stand in gap for the people of Nsukka/Igboeze South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives come 2015.
Okonkwo who is also a lawyer, revealed his political intention some months back but many did not take him serious considering the strength one has to put into campaigns and all the behind-the-scene works involved.
However, the actor has proved every doubters wrong as he happily took to his online campaign site to post the following:
Join me in thanking God for assisting me obtain my nomination form of our great party PDP to contest for the House of Representatives to represent Nsukka/ Igboeze South Federal Constituency. To Him be all the glory.
The actor who is set for the political hurdle is said to be respected by all and sundry in his local government and also in the movie industry.
It would be recalled that just recently, seasoned actress, Clarion Chukwura lambasted all the performers, especially Nollywood practitioners, joining partisan politics, calling them sheer hypocrites.
