Victor Anichebe was on target for West Bromwich Albion, as they recorded a 2-1 win over Shrewsbury in a pre-season friendly game played on Tuesday.

Anichebe struck the ball from 10-yards to open scoring for the Baggies in the 11th minute, after Stephane Sessegnon wriggled his way to the by-line before picking him out.

Scott Vernon’s 30th-minute leveller helped the lower league side, stun their opponents. However, Youssef Mulumbu restored the Baggies’ lead four minutes later by polishing off a slick move from 10-yards.
