Chairman of the state chapter of the party, Alhaji Ganiyu Olaoluwa in a statement following a meeting of the State Working Committee (SWC) held at the partyf secretariat in Osogbo, said the decision was taken in order to ensure discipline within the party.
According to the statement, the Youths Leader of the party Mr Benson Adegbola moved the motion for the expulsion of the six members while the motion was seconded by the partyfs Treasurer Hon. Adesoye Oyetunde.
The statement added that the state women leader, Mrs. Mary Anjoorin moved the motion that positions being occupied by the expelled members at various federal boards should be allocated to faithful party members.
The party alleged that the expelled members of the party were romancing with the ruling All progressives Congress (APC), hence their expulsion.
Some of the six expelled members are loyalists of former Governor Oyinlola and were alleged to have attended meetings with APC leaders in their various Local Government Areas recently while others were alleged to have followed Fatai Akinbade to the Labour Party.
In his reaction to his suspension, Tewobola said he remained a PDP member and the secretary of the party in the state saying that his expulsion was null, void and of no effect.

I have therefore had to steal from a friend, a classmate and most of all, a talented artist as I, myself, am not so gifted as to put up my works for display but still, I shall humour you eventually with my rendition of a popular cartoon that you may recognise if you grew up watching ‘Looney Tones’. Nevertheless, gift is not a necessity to appreciate beauty and the plethora of magna opera (The many great works).
